I am currently disabled, due to a diagnosis of post-traumatic stress disorder, depression, and sometimes crippling anxiety. I am currently in a recovery program to deal with my anxiety and trauma. As such, I try to find projects at home that will build and strengthen my skills in case I have recovered enough to work a full-time job. I have decided to start a site for logging cold and missing persons cases of note. The amount of cases out there is staggering, so I am currently collecting links to various cold case and missing persons sites.
My plan was initially to start with my hometown of Chicago and work outward. I will pretty much stick to that. I also intend to start with cases from the eighties and nineties. I have discovered a valuable resource for missing persons cases called namus.gov.
Here is the most interesting case I have found so far. His name is John Andrews Cheek, and he disappeared from Memphis, TN, on or around December 2, 1993.
